2025 Texas Coastal Holiday Newsletter

Hello all. It is once again time for my Coastal Holiday Newsletter. This newsletter goes back to 1993 when I put a letter together to describe the progress under the Blackburn-Formosa Agreement which was quite successful in addressing toxics and safety issues at Formosa Plastics in the 1990s. Since that time, major toxics and safety issues have been minimal, although Diane Wilson won a major lawsuit against Formosa in 2019 over plastics in the wastewater discharge. That suit has led to major changes at Formosa as they try to come into compliance with a zero discharge of plastics consent decree that has not yet been met.
